Have you ever told yourself or had someone tell you that something is “impossible”? I know I have.
For example, three of the best neurologists told me that it was physically impossible for me to ever have a sense of smell again, since my olfactory nerves were completely severed. Well…had I have listened and believed them, they would have been right. And who’s to say they were wrong? They’ve never seen it happen before. But because I tried a different approach than what they typically do with brain injured patients, I was able to defeat the impossible.
“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I’m Possible” Audrey Hepburn
I’m Possible! You’re possible.
Anything you want in life IS possible. But it may take some time and a different and often times, more creative approach.
When you change your approach, your results will change. Always.
For example, I always thought is was I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E for me to ever do a headstand. I am not a talented yogi or gymnast. I was never taught how to use those muscles as a kid, and though I was always athletic, balancing upside down just wasn’t gonna happen. Well, guess what, I changed my approach and all of a sudden I’m chilling’ upside down every day.
So maybe you think it’s impossible for you to make healthy plant-based meals at home. You work all the time, you’ve never been in the kitchen a day in your life and cooking just seems like a chore. Well, a friend of mine was in the same boat…until she changed her approach, bought a slow cooker and now her homemade meals are cooking away while she’s at work. Win, win!
